Community Midwives

The Midwives provide maternity services. They are involved in antenatal and post-natal care, offering support and education in preparation for parenthood. After delivery, they will visit your home. This gives the new parents confidence and answers any fears and concerns that they may have.

Community Nurses

Our District Nursing team carries out assessments and treatments in your home environment. Our nurses have undertaken further specialised training, and on many occasions, are able to advise the GPs. Sometime, their treatment is best done in the treatment room, provided the patient is able to attend.

Health Visitors

Mrs. Noleen McAleer and Mrs Triona McCann are registered nursing sisters, who have undergone further training in health education and promotion. They can offer support and practical advice on a different range of health issues. The child health clinics give the parents the opportunity to discuss the health and development of their child. Visits and assessments are also made in the home.
